Warehouse Inventory Control Specialist

EBP Supply Solutions, a leading provider of Cleaning and Food Service supplies and services to commercial institutions, is currently seeking an experienced, conscientious, detail oriented and enthusiastic Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in the Cranbury, New Jersey.  As part of our Warehouse team, this position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory controls and reporting within established company guidelines by performing the essential functions below.


Reports to:  Day Warehouse Manager

Location(s):  Cranbury, New Jersey


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Hours 6:00 am – 2:30 pm
  • Perform daily cycle counts.
  • Enter all cycle count information into the computer system
  • Runs exception report
  • Reconcile exceptions
  • Review all exceptions with a variance plus or minus of $100 with immediate Supervisor before posting
  • Post all inventory adjustments once approved by immediate supervisor
  • Perform aisle audits, specialized counts of inventory, open slot report checks and less than 5 checks.
  • Enter daily cycle count information into excel spreadsheet and maintain Excel spreadsheet reports.
  • Review damage area and fix all damages or write off any damages that cannot be fixed.
  • Reconcile all shorts, scratches and miss picked item daily
  • Reconcile the 7’s truck return location
  • Other duties as directed.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST ALSO HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

  • 1-3 years verifiable experience in inventory management (distribution).
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to read, write, give and receive instructions in English.
  • Ability to drive an order/cherry picker.
  • Good math skills focusing on addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
  • Good verbal and written communication.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.
  • 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This job operates in both a professional office environment and warehouse setting.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.  Standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters, tape dispensers, order picker/reach truck, tow motor, fork lift, and pallet jacks is also often used.

  • The employee is required to stand; walk; remove mis-slotted product from slots, manage, organize and file paperwork, computer interaction/typing and use a telephone 
  • Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of products and/or samples.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision.
