Night Warehouse Supervisor - Milford, CT


EBP Supply Solutions, will pay a $1,000 bonus upon 90 days successful completion of full-time employment.

Currently seeking experienced, conscientious, detail oriented and enthusiastic Night Warehouse Supervisorto join the team in our Milford, CT location. As part our Operations team, the primary function of the Night Shift Supervisor is to help the Night Warehouse Manager to plan, prepare and direct the night work functions in the selection and loading of customer orders to be delivered the next working day by our Private Fleet, common carrier or UPS small parcel delivery service.



Specific job activities assigned to the Night Shift Manager / Supervisor are to complete the following task items as follows:

  • Shift hours: 5:30 pm – 2:30 am

  • Preparing order selection labels for employees (Pickers)

  • Scheduling shift activities depending upon available staffing and workload volume
    • Assign runs to pickers

  • Insure truck loading is coordinated with truck schedule and out of service vehicles

  • Insure orders are selected correctly

  • Walk the dock observing pallet configurations to ensure pallets are stacked properly.

  • Review all previous day error(s) with the individual responsible for error to do the following:
    •  Understand why the error happened

    • Develop a process to prevent any further occurrence

  • Insure scratch control is maintained to achieve high order fill

  • Insure nightly replenishments are conducted promptly and accurately

  • Maintain quality and productivity through Incremental supervision

  • Quality check specific customer deliveries as required
    • Assure high profile accounts are verified for accuracy, all cases are in good condition and pallets are stacked according to customer critical requirements

  • Train new employees in procedures, expectations and department mission
    • Provide all required OSHA training

  • Insure employees exhibit teamwork and co-operation

  • Insure all outgoing pallets are loaded properly

  • Prepare Nightly and weekly reports
    • Review these reports each Monday or Tuesday night with pickers

    • Coach people that are not hitting minimum standards of the shift

    • At the end of the month issue warning for substandard performance when needed

  • Notify Director of Distribution of problems, opportunities and needs

  • Conduct shift start and end checklist duties
    • Housekeeping is a major task that must be completed nightly

  • Interview and hire new employees

  • Maintain discipline program as required

  • Provide a safe and secure warehouse

  • Review Company Policies for all employee compliance

  • Cover for the Night Manager PTO


From a management perspective, the role of the Night Shift Supervisor consists of assisting with the following specific duties:

  • Insure all orders are selected and loaded for next day delivery

  • Insure that the  shift obtains good productivity and minimizes overtime

  • Insure that the  shift achieves high quality, accomplishes its housekeeping duties, works safely and minimizes injuries

  • Maintains proper security within and outside the facility

  • Insures all Human Resource procedures are followed

  • Assists in internal inventory control and security of company assets

  • Communication:  Keep the Night Manager, Director and Human Resources informed as needed for any areas where help or resources are needed

  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.

  • Minimum 5+ year Warehouse experience

  • Minimum 3+ years Supervisory experience
