Driver Check-In Clerk - Massachusetts

EBP Supply Solutions, a leading provider of Cleaning and Food Service supplies to commercial institutions, is currently seeking an experienced, conscientious, detail oriented and enthusiastic Driver – Check In position.  This position is responsible for maintaining and arranging all driver information upon drivers return.

 

Reports to:  Day Warehouse Supervisor

Location(s):  Tewksbury, MA

Compensation:  Based on experience


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Shift: 5 days a week (Monday – Friday), from 2:30 pm – 6:30 pm.
  • Arrange all paper work to make the driver check in position efficient.

  • Note the following information upon driver return

      • The door the driver backed into
      • The time the driver returned and the time the driver started the run
      • The number of good 40 X 48 pallets returned and the number the truck went out with
      • Write down all the items and quantity on the truck that are being returned on proper form
      • Verify all tickets are signed and returned using green bar paperwork
      • Any shorts damages, miss picks etc.… noted on the order should have proper form filled out by driver noting the reason for the return
      • Verify the correct code was used for the return
      • Verify what was physically returned on the truck matches the paperwork. Any exceptions should be brought to the dispatch supervisor immediately.
      • Verify the box has no damage to it where you can see daylight. If there is, it should be reported to the dispatch supervisor immediately.
      • Verify all COD’s are correct and lock in safe with proper paperwork. It should be placed in an envelope with the following information
          • Driver’s name
          • The amount of check or cash
          • The account number
          • The check number
  • Keep the dock organized by stacking empty pallets in correct locations.
  • Direct drivers where to place backhauls and Common Carrier shipments for staging
  • Put all truck returns into the correct primary locations
  • Maintain a list of any item without and primary and note the location where the item was placed so you can key into the system the next day.
  • Use Powered Industrial Equipment as needed – (must be trained and qualified to use).
  • Do general housekeeping to assigned work area.
  • Other duties as directed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years verifiable Warehouse experience
