ProTeam® ProForce 1500XP Commercial Vacuum Review

There are several different types of upright vacuums that promote different features. Selecting the best commercial upright vacuum will be based on the needs of your facility.

If your facility has long, tight areas or confined spaces you are likely interested in an upright vacuum that has a small cleaning path and can be paired with various tools for detail cleaning. One of the best small area upright vacuums is the ProTeam® ProForce 1500XP.

To understand why this is one of the best commercial vacuums of 2021, we provide a comprehensive review below.

What makes the ProTeam® ProForce 1500XP one of the best vacuums of 2021?

The ProForce® is one of the only dual-motor upright vacuums that made our list. It offers a low profile and has an L-shaped head which is perfect for vacuuming under and around furniture.

Additionally, this commercial upright vacuum cleaner automatically adjusts to the height of the floor so operators do not have to worry about brush adjustment.

Power Source

Commercial vacuums can be cord-electric or battery powered. Yellow Cord

The ProTeam ProForce 1500XP is a cord-electric machine and comes standard with a 50-foot yellow electric cord. This is the standard cord length for upright vacuums.

Cord electric vacuums provide the operator with a continuous run time as long as they are plugged into an outlet.

Dual Motor Vacuum System

There are two types of upright vacuums: single motor and dual motor.

Dual motor vacuums, like the ProForce 1500XP, use one motor to run the brush

and one to run the vacuum suction motor.

This high-performance dual motor system provides power to both the brush roller and the suction motor. When compared to single motor vacuums, they provide more power and increased efficiency.

The dual motor on this vacuum allows it to easily tackle heavy, deeply embedded soils.

Cleaning Path

Cleaning paths usually range from 6 inches to 28 inches depending on the size of the vacuum and the tools it is equipped with.

This machine provides a 15 inch cleaning path, which is average when compared to the other upright vacuums on our list

To help the operator easily clean along walls, the brush head is L-shaped. The elongated side is thinner and protrudes to the right for enhanced cleaning under and around furniture.

Static Lift & Airflow

The ProForce 1500XP has a balanced measure of static lift and airflow.

With an airflow of 96 CFM and 85 inch static lift, this machine can easily remove soils from hard floors and carpets.

Static lift and airflow work together. Static lift removes the soil from the surface and air flow helps the dirt and debris travel down the vacuum hose to the tank. Higher static lift and airflow will provide increased soil removal.

3-Stage ProLevel Filtration System

HEPA Filter

The ProForce is equipped with a 3-stage filter that captures and removes about 98.73% of dirt, dust, and allergens at .3 microns.

Removing more soils and particulates provides cleaner and healthier air in your facility. Indoor air quality is directly associated with the level of contaminants removed. It is important to the health of your building occupants to select a vacuum that effectively traps and contains particulates.

This upright vacuum effortlessly moves across carpets and hard floors. It has large, rubberized wheels that allow for smooth movement over different floor surfaces without losing or compromising suction.

The wheels also provide the ProForce 1500XP with a tight turning radius and easy clearance.

Lighted Display

Visible to the operator from any angle, there is a lighted display.

The display provides visual alerts to the operator when the brush roll is jammed, airflow is blocked, or the filter is full.

The alerts help your staff quickly identify and fix any problems which could otherwise lead to costly machine damage.

Floating Powerhead

The powerhead automatically adjusts to different floor surface heights.

The automatic adjustment eliminates the need for the user to stop and adjust the brush height based on the carpet pile or floor type, eliminating the chance of damage to the floor or machine.

This feature also helps to eliminate operator downtime that is otherwise associated with manual brush adjustment.

Extended Reach Tools

ProForce 1500XP Upright Vacuum

Every ProForce 1500XP upright vacuum comes standard with a 24-inch wand. The machine, plus the hose and wand allow the user to reach up to 8 feet.

It can be difficult to reach under low shelves or in between desks with an upright vacuum. The wand extension tool eliminates those issues.

This machine comes standard with a dusting brush and crevice tool to perform detail cleaning. All tools can be stored on the machine handle or on the back of the machine's body for easy and convenient access.

To help reduce the total lifetime costs associated with this vacuum, ProTeam provides a 3 year warranty on parts, labor, and the motor.

The warranty does not cover wear items like carbon brushes, filter bags, or the brush roll.

Final Thoughts

The ProForce 1500XP is a powerful, high-performance upright vacuum.

Utilizing a dual motor system, and balanced static lift and airflow, your staff can effectively remove stubborn soils on various surfaces.

The large wheels, L-shaped head, and wand extension make it easy for your staff to conveniently switch between carpet, tile, and above-the-floor surfaces. They’ll also be able to work under and around furniture.

To minimize air contaminants and improve indoor air quality, the filtration system captures and contains soils from surfaces and the air, so allergy and asthma triggers, like dust, are eliminated.
