Clarke® MA10™ 12E Upright Automatic Floor Scrubber Review

The Clarke® MA10™ 12E upright scrubber is the perfect automatic floor scrubber for facilities with small, high-traffic areas looking to upgrade from the traditional mop and bucket. Holding the same small footprint as a mop and bucket, this floor scrubber provides a more sanitary clean and drier outcome, ultimately minimizing disruption to occupants.

In this article and video, we will go over the key features that make the Clarke® MA10™ 12E upright scrubber one of our top-rated auto floor scrubbers of 2020.

Clarke® MA10™ 12E Upright Floor Scrubber

Clarke MA10 12E Upright Autoscrubber 1Single Cylindrical Brush

This is a cylindrical brush auto floor scrubber that turns at 2100 RPM to effectively clean the grout lines of tiled floors or other rough surfaces. The bristles can reach deep down into the grout lines better than a disc pad or brush for a noticeably cleaner result.

Brushes can help reduce the amount of time it takes to clean grouted or uneven floors, boosting worker productivity and lowering labor costs.

The Clarke® MA10™ 12E offers continuous runtime as long as the machine is plugged into a power source.

The power cord is 33 feet long, which is the average cord length on most cord electric autoscrubbers. The power cord is easily detachable for simple maintenance.

Removable Tank-in-Tank Design

Removable TankThe Clarke® MA10™ 12E is equipped with a 1-gallon recovery and .8-gallon solution tank.

This scrubber will only dispense clean water to the scrub brush, helping to avoid spreading dirt and minimizing cross-contamination.

Both tanks are easily removable so that the operator can fill and empty tanks separate from the machine. Other machines without removable tanks, will require a hose to fill tanks, which can be time-consuming. In some facilities, hoses or large sinks that can accommodate tanks can be hard to find or inconveniently located.

Multi-Directional Water Pickup Squeegee System

Supported by a 700 Watt motor, this upright floor scrubber has two vacuumized thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) squeegee systems, one in the front and one in the back. This allows the machine to pick up water in both forward and reverse.

Quicker and more complete water removal will allow your staff to effectively clean floors faster. Shortened cleaning procedures means your staff can be more productive.

Right Justified Scrub Deck

For enhanced cleaning along walls, the scrub deck protrudes slightly to the right of the machine.

The combination of the extended cleaning deck and front positioned cleaning brush increases the operator's ability to clean all the way into corners and back out, all while fully capturing the dirty water and solution.

Low Profile

This upright floor scrubber has a cleaning clearance of under 4 inches.

With its narrow and low profile design, this machine is able to easily access tight areas, like under bathroom partition walls, on stairs and between desks/chairs, or under low cabinets.

At just 26.5 pounds, this automatic floor scrubber can be easily operated by your custodial staff.

Lighter equipment places less stress on the user, reducing fatigue and allowing them to perform additional cleaning tasks.

Double Scrubbing

Double ScrubSometimes floors will need extra passes to remove tough dirt and stains.

Equipped with double scrubbing, this machine allows the operator to easily make multiple scrubbing passes over the floor without having to reapply the solution on each pass.

When activated, double scrubbing lifts the scrubber’s squeegee from the floor. After the squeegee is lifted, the machine can scrub the floor with the same solution, reducing the time and amount of cleaning chemicals it takes to remove tough stains.

Off Aisle Wand

Optional Off-Aisle Wand

Available as an attachment on the deluxe model, this autoscrubber supports an off-aisle wand. An off-aisle wand allows the operator to easily reach tight cracks and crevices without having to switch machines, saving time and increasing worker productivity.

The wand is attached to the back corner of the machine and is operated like a vacuum hose. This is a great tool for reaching in tight corners where dirt is known to build up.

Final Thoughts

Similar in size to a mop and bucket, this machine is a great replacement to the traditional mop and bucket, and it doesn’t require additional space to store. The narrow design allows access into tight areas where larger auto scrubbers can’t fit, like small bathrooms, under stairs and desk/chairs.

This auto floor scrubber is also easy to use, extremely maneuverable, lightweight, and highly productive.
